Pink Sandstone Temple

A temple is not simply a structure. It is the centre of a home's spiritual life — the place where the day begins and ends with intention. When that space is shaped from natural pink sandstone, something changes. The stone brings a warmth and presence that no manufactured material can replicate. It does not just hold a deity. It creates an atmosphere.

At Shri Krishna Stone Company, we have been crafting sandstone temples since 2013. Every temple that leaves our workshop is built entirely by hand — no CNC machines, no mass production, no shortcuts. Our craftsmen are Rajasthani artisans with fifteen to twenty-five years of experience specifically in stone temple work.

The Stone

Our pink sandstone is sourced from Bansi Paharpur, Rajasthan — one of India's most respected regions for fine temple stone. The colour shifts between soft blush and warm rose depending on the light and hour. In the morning it glows. By evening it settles into something quieter. The fine grain structure accepts detailed carving cleanly — lotus motifs, kalash finials, jali screens, and column detailing all hold their edge for decades. The stone is naturally durable indoors and outdoors without any treatment.

The Collection

Three styles are available. The first includes both a baramda and garbhgraha — a full temple experience suited for larger homes and open spaces. The second features the garbhgraha only, compact and focused, ideal for dedicated puja rooms. The third is an open-style temple, open on all four sides, designed for courtyards and gardens where light and air become part of the worship.

Each style is available in four sizes — 8x12, 10x15, 12x18, and 15x20 feet. Custom dimensions and carving patterns are available on request.A pink stone temple built this way does not age poorly. It deepens. If you would like a recommendation or quote, share your requirements with us and we will respond within twenty-four hours.
